From the Atlantic Coast to the Vineyards of the Douro, April 16–23
We’ve combined history, traditions, and gastronomy into a carefully curated itinerary. This journey allows you to see and hear Portugal, and to experience the richness of its heritage and the beauty of everyday life.
Freshly pressed olive oil, bread baked in a wood-fired oven, slow-cooked octopus, or charcoal-grilled sardines—here, flavor comes from the quality of the ingredients.
Northern Portugal is characterized by the salty coastal breeze, the tranquility of its green valleys, a unique wine heritage, and a culinary tradition rooted in simplicity brought to perfection.
Porto is a city of bridges and the capital of port wine, which has become one of Portugal’s symbols around the world. We’ll stroll through the historic streets, stop by the Bolhão Market—where fish stalls stand side by side with baskets of vegetables and herbs—and head down to the riverfront, where the air is filled with the freshness of the river. In the evening, from the opposite bank, the city will be aglow with lights, inviting you to sample the famous ruby-red wine, the pride of this region.
Stories of the old city
From there, the route continues upriver into the Douro Valley—a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll stay in the heart of the region where modern European winemaking began, surrounded by endless green hills and landscapes that have become the hallmark of this area.

We’ll visit family-run wineries and renowned wine houses, learn how wine makes its journey from vine to glass, and taste the finest varieties. Under the guidance of a chef, we’ll prepare traditional Portuguese dishes using family recipes.
